If Ed Miliband becoming Labour Prime Minister and then proceeds to follow new-labour policies i.e. neo-liberal/neo-conservative policies the new enthusiasm for Labour will quickly evaporate.
Whether we are talking Labour Representation Committee, Compass or Tribune, they have no choice but to challenge the basic ideology of Blairism. The alternative is the continual shift of the centre axis of British politics to the right and a return to 19th century social and economic values where the Liberals represented the left of centre.
new-labour must take responsibility for why Labour votes dropped by 36% between 1997 and 2010 and party membership fell by 56% to lower than when the party was founded in 1900.
