Attacks on benefits for the sick, disabled and unemployed whilst the banks and financial institutions get billions in bailouts so that the billions owned by the elite are safe, this is the Tory/Liberal coalition’s solution to the crisis of global capitalism.
ReplyDeleteIain Duncan Smith and the Tory/Liberal coalition governments attack on the most vulnerable and poorest in society is a wakeup call to the British Left parties to join forces with the broad alliance of the European Left parties if they hope to play a part in the fightback against the neo-liberal/neo-conservative offensive against the working classes of Britain. The capitalist elite are still on the offensive pushing back the concrete gains achieved by social-democrat, socialist communist activists in the 20th century. Only by showing a united front can the Marxist and non-Marxist left resist the new-right attack on living standards, health, education, social-housing and welfare. It’s now or never, put that theory into practice or be irrelevant, what is it to be?
